Care Instructions:
Lighting Needs:

Place your Gymnocalycium Ragonesi in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct morning or late afternoon sunlight, but avoid harsh midday sun to prevent sunburn. An east or west-facing window is ideal.
Watering Schedule:

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the growing season (spring and summer), water every 2-3 weeks. Reduce watering to once a month or less in the fall and winter, as the cactus enters dormancy.
Temperature Requirements:

This cactus prefers warm temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18°C to 27°C). It is not frost-tolerant, so be sure to protect it from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Soil and Potting:

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix to prevent root rot. A blend of potting soil, coarse sand, and perlite or pumice works well for aeration and drainage.
Choose a small pot with drainage holes to allow excess water to escape. Terracotta or clay pots are recommended for their breathability.
Unboxing and Planting Instructions:
Upon receiving your Gymnocalycium Ragonesi:

Carefully Unbox: Gently remove the cactus from its packaging, handling it carefully to avoid damaging its roots.
Allow to Acclimate: Let the cactus acclimate to its new environment for a day or two before potting.
Potting: Fill a small pot with well-draining soil, place the cactus on top, and backfill with soil around it. Ensure the base of the cactus is level with the soil surface.
Initial Watering: Wait 5-7 days before watering for the first time to allow the roots to settle into the new soil.

Please note we are a US Seller! Items will be shipped from within the US. We will only ship to United States customers. No International Shipping. We will do combined shipping, based on weight, quantity, and size of plants. If you purchase multiple plants and wait to pay and request an invoice when ready, we will provide you with a combined shipping total appropriate to the weight, quantity, and size of final purchases.

Upon receipt of plant – carefully open and remove plant from package. Cacti should be then placed on moist soil (it helps to create an indentation for the roots). Soil mix should be chunky, such as with the use of cactus soil that includes rocks, lyca balls, perlite, sand, and soil. Soil must be well draining. All containers for plants must have drainage holes. Cacti are best watered from the bottom when the top soil has dried out. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking, and never let them sit in standing water.

If your temperatures will be below 40 degrees, please consider adding on one of our $5 72 hour heat packs, available in our store.
