Product Details:
Species: Gymnocalycium Stenopleurum VOS1241
Size: Approximately 2-3 inches in diameter
Shipping: Ships bare root without a pot
Care Instructions:
Lighting Needs:

Gymnocalycium Stenopleurum prefers bright, indirect light. Position it near an east or west-facing window where it can receive filtered sunlight. Avoid intense afternoon sun, which can cause sunburn or stress the plant.
Watering Schedule:

Water sparingly and only when the soil is completely dry. During the active growing season (spring and summer), water every 2-3 weeks. In the dormant winter months, reduce watering to once a month or less.
Temperature Requirements:

This cactus thrives in warm temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18°C to 27°C). It is not frost-tolerant, so keep it protected from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Soil and Potting:

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix to provide proper aeration and moisture control. Choose a pot with drainage holes to prevent water retention, which can lead to root rot.
Unboxing and Planting Instructions:
Upon receiving your Gymnocalycium Stenopleurum VOS1241:

Unbox Carefully: Gently remove the cactus from its packaging, handling it with care to avoid damaging its delicate root system.
Prepare the Pot: Choose a pot slightly larger than the root system with drainage holes. A terracotta pot is ideal due to its breathability.
Soil Mix: Use a well-draining cactus soil mix, or create your own by combining one part potting soil, one part coarse sand, and one part perlite or pumice.
Planting: Position the cactus in the center of the pot and backfill with soil, ensuring the base of the cactus sits just above the soil line.
Initial Watering: Lightly water to settle the soil around the roots, then allow the soil to dry out completely before the next watering.
