Basic care

Provide bright light with gradual acclimation, a fast-draining cactus and succulent mix, and good airflow. Water thoroughly only when appropriate for the plant and season, allowing the mix to dry between waterings. Protect from frost and prolonged cold, wet conditions.

Shipping and arrival

Ships from The Pioneer Nursery in Southern California. Plants can show temporary wrinkling, color change, loose soil, or minor spine loss after transit. Unpack promptly, keep the plant in bright indirect light at first, and acclimate it gradually to its final light level. Do not water automatically on arrival; first assess the plant, soil, roots, season, and local conditions. Allow any disturbed roots to settle before watering. See our New Plant Arrival and First Watering After Shipping guides for full instructions.
