Care Instructions:
Caring for your Bishop's Cap Cactus is a straightforward and enjoyable experience. Here are some care tips to ensure its optimal growth and continued beauty:
Initial Care: Prior to shipping, the cacti will be removed from its pot and its roots will be lightly trimmed and allowed to dry slightly, to prevent potential health issues in shipping. It will then be carefully packaged and sent to you with first class shipping. Once received, please remove it from the package and prepare your soil. It should be moist and well draining. It can help to make an indent in the soil to carefully place the roots inside of, and gently cover any exposed root. Do not disturb as it settles it's roots into the soil. When the soil surface is dry, gently water the plant by placing it's pot or container in a bowl of water so it can suck up the water from below.
Sunlight: Provide your cactus with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. A sunny windowsill or a well-lit spot in your garden is ideal. Avoid exposing it to intense, direct sunlight, which can lead to sunburn.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. The Bishop's Cap Cactus prefers to be kept on the drier side. Water sparingly, typically once every 2-4 weeks, depending on environmental conditions. Ensure that the pot has proper drainage to prevent overwatering.
Soil: Use a well-draining cactus soil mix to ensure good aeration and drainage for the roots.
