Rare and Collectible:
Pseudolithos McCoyi is one of the most coveted succulents due to its scarcity, making it a prized addition for serious plant enthusiasts.

Minimalist Beauty:
Perfect for small displays or as a conversation piece on a sunny windowsill, this petite plant’s subtle colors and geometric shape complement modern décor.

Slow Growth, Low Maintenance:
With its modest watering needs and slow-growing habit, it’s an ideal choice for those who want a unique plant without extensive daily care.

Care Guide

1. Light Requirements
Bright, Indirect Light: Place your Pseudolithos McCoyi where it receives abundant indirect sunlight. It can handle some gentle direct sun in the morning or late afternoon, but avoid harsh midday rays to prevent scorching.

2. Watering Schedule
Water Sparingly: During the active growing season (spring and summer), allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings—roughly once every 2–3 weeks, depending on your environment.
Dormant Season: In fall and winter, reduce watering to once a month or less, as the plant goes into dormancy and requires minimal moisture.

3. Soil & Potting
Well-Draining Mix: Use a specialized cactus or succulent potting mix. A combination of potting soil, coarse sand, and perlite or pumice helps provide the quick drainage Pseudolithos needs.
Small, Shallow Container: Choose a pot with drainage holes that’s only slightly larger than the plant’s root system. Terracotta pots are ideal for wicking excess moisture away.

4. Temperature & Humidity
Warm & Dry: This species thrives in temperatures between 70°F and 90°F (21°C to 32°C). Keep it protected from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Low Humidity Preferred: Pseudolithos McCoyi naturally grows in arid environments, so it doesn’t require high humidity. Ensure good airflow to help it stay healthy.

5. Fertilizing
Light Feeding: During the growing season, feed with a half-strength, balanced liquid fertilizer once a month. Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows.
Unboxing & Planting Instructions
Carefully Unbox: Gently remove your Pseudolithos McCoyi from its packaging, avoiding damage to its delicate surface.
Allow to Acclimate: Place the plant in a shaded area for 1–2 days before potting, giving it time to adjust to its new environment.
Potting: Fill a small, shallow pot with a well-draining succulent mix. Position the plant so its base is at soil level, then backfill gently.
Initial Watering: Wait about 1 week before watering to allow any minor root damage to heal and reduce the risk of rot.

Soil mix should be chunky, such as with the use of cactus soil that includes rocks, lyca balls, perlite, sand, and soil. Soil must be well draining. All containers for plants must have drainage holes. Cacti are best watered from the bottom when the top soil has dried out. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking, and never let them sit in standing water. If your temperatures will be below 40 degrees, please consider adding on one of our $5 72 hour heat packs, available in our store.
