Product Details:
Species: Dorstenia Foetida
Size: Shown in 2" pot
Shipping: Ships bare-root without a pot

Care Instructions:
Lighting Needs:

Dorstenia Foetida thrives in bright, indirect light. A north-facing window or a spot that receives filtered sunlight is ideal to prevent leaf burn while providing sufficient light for growth.
Watering Schedule:

Water when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Typically, watering once every week or two is sufficient, depending on the humidity and temperature of your environment. Reduce watering frequency during the winter months.
Feeding Requirements:

Feed with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength once every month during the growing season (spring to early fall). Do not fertilize in the winter.
Unboxing and Repotting Instructions:
Upon receiving your Dorstenia Foetida:

Unbox Immediately: Carefully remove the plant from its packaging to avoid prolonged stress.
Choose the Right Pot: Select a pot with drainage holes, about 1-2 inches larger than the diameter of the plant. This will provide adequate space for growth and prevent waterlogging.
Soil Mix Preparation: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix, or create your own by mixing two parts potting soil with one part perlite or coarse sand.
Planting: Place the plant in the pot and gently fill around it with your soil mix, ensuring that the base of the plant sits just above the soil surface to prevent rot.
Top the Soil: After planting, top the soil with a layer of gravel or pebbles. This aids in moisture retention and prevents the top layer of soil from drying out too quickly.
Initial Watering: Water lightly to settle the soil around the roots, then allow it to dry out completely before the next watering.

Upon receipt of plant – carefully open and remove plant from package. Cacti should be then placed on moist soil (it helps to create an indentation for the roots). Soil mix should be chunky, such as with the use of cactus soil that includes rocks, lyca balls, perlite, sand, and soil. Soil must be well draining. All containers for plants must have drainage holes. Cacti are best watered from the bottom when the top soil has dried out. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking, and never let them sit in standing water.
