Care Instructions:
Lighting Needs:
Ariocarpus Trigonus thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sun, especially in the cooler morning hours, but it's best to protect it from intense afternoon sun which could potentially cause scorching.
Watering Schedule:
Water sparingly, allowing the soil to fully dry out between waterings. During the growing season (spring and summer), watering every 2-3 weeks is sufficient. Reduce watering during the winter months when the plant is dormant, limiting to once a month or less.
Temperature Requirements:
This cactus prefers warm environments with temperatures between 65°F to 85°F (18°C to 29°C). It is not frost-tolerant, so ensure protection from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Unboxing and Repotting Instructions:
Upon receiving your Ariocarpus Trigonus:
Careful Unboxing: Remove your Ariocarpus Trigonus from the packaging carefully to avoid any damage to its body.
Choose the Right Pot: Opt for a pot with drainage holes that is just slightly larger than the current root system. A terracotta pot is ideal due to its breathability, which helps manage moisture.
Soil Mix: Prepare a well-draining soil suitable for cacti. A commercial cactus mix, which usually contains sand and perlite, is perfect for ensuring proper drainage.
Planting: Gently plant your Ariocarpus in the new pot, ensuring the soil level is just below the base of the plant to avoid any risk of rotting.
Initial Watering: Water the plant lightly immediately after repotting to help settle the soil. Allow the soil to dry completely before subsequent waterings.

Upon receipt of plant – carefully open and remove plant from package. Cacti should be then placed on moist soil (it helps to create an indentation for the roots). Soil mix should be chunky, such as with the use of cactus soil that includes rocks, lyca balls, perlite, sand, and soil. Soil must be well draining. All containers for plants must have drainage holes. Cacti are best watered from the bottom when the top soil has dried out. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking, and never let them sit in standing water.
If your temperatures will be below 40 degrees, please consider adding on one of our $5 72 hour heat packs, available in our store.
